This section was written sometime in the lead-up to 2002 with a few amendments made afterwards. At the time I was a Community Manager with Wireplay - a UK game-service-provider. It was one of the major providers of public gaming servers in the UK (in the days before peer-to-peer matchmaking and broadband). It ran a particularly popular Counter-Strike league and attracted the top-clans in the country. Eventually Wireplay collapsed under the ownership of Pipex.
Everything in this section has been preserved for posterity. Like the archive.org project, I am a keen supporter of maintaining old content.
